Film: Seeking Martin Gray
In 1982 Martin Gray's life was put on film, starring Michael York,
the English title being: For Those I Loved.
The film, a mini-series, was broadcast on TV.
In 2006/07 a smaller project was launched, consisting of the story of Frits Vrij, who for five years tried to contact Gray and eventually did so successfully. Frits and Martin met twice in Brussels. This encounter was filmed and the film was published on DVD in 2007. In the film Gray gives a vivid account of his experiences in the Second World War and ponders in short on questions such as: 'What does forgiveness mean?' and 'What were the best times of my life and why is that?' etc.
